Ingredients

 Onion1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Olive oil1 Tablespoon
 Wine vinegar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 1/2 teaspoon each of Mexican oregano, comino, ground pure red chile, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, pepper
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 1 1/2 pounds lean sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
 Onions 10 Small, parboiled
 8 to 12 cherry pepper pickles

Directions

1 Cook onion in olive oil until translucent but not brown. Add vinegar, seasoning and garlic. Cover pan and allow to simmer for 20 minutes; cool.
2 Add meat and marinate at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
3 Skewer meat cubes alternately with the onions and peppers. Brush with the marinade. Broil in the oven or on an outdoor grill, basting often until done to your liking.
