Mexican Avocado Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Very ripe avocados - 2 | ||
| Tomato - 1 , peeled, de-seeded and chopped | ||
| Small onion - 1 , shallot or spring onion, chopped | ||
| Green chilli | 1 , canned | |
| Coriander | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
| Lime juice, to taste | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 Peel the avocados.
2 Using a fork, mash them well.
3 Beat in the tomato, onion, chilli and coriander.
4 Add in salt, pepper and lime juice to taste.
SERVING
5 Tastes best when served at room temperature.
TIP
The sauce can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
To avoid discoloration, cover it tightly.
