6 egg whites
 
2 cups sugar
 
2 teaspoons lemon juice
 
2/3 cup sugar
 
1 egg, slightly beaten
 
1/3 cup butter, melted
 
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
 
2 teaspoons brandy flavoring

Directions

Beat egg whites until foamy; add the 2 cups sugar gradually, beating constantly until stiff peaks are formed.
Beat in lemon juice.
Using a pastry tube, shape meringue mixture in a round on brown paper on a baking sheet.
Build up sides of round.
Bake meringue shell at 275°F about 1 hour.
Cool.
Meanwhile, to prepare sauce, add 3/4 cup sugar slowly to egg, beating constantly until thoroughly blended.
Beat in the melted butter and fold mixture into whipped cream and brandy flavoring.
Fill meringue shell with your favorite ice cream and serve with the sauce.
