Meringue Tart Shells Recipe

4 egg whites
1 cup sugar
Directions
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Beat sugar in gradually, 1 tablespoon at a time beating thoroughly after each addition.
Continue beating until meringue forms sharp peaks when beater is raised.
Shape meringue into nests with a spoon or pastry bag on brown paper on a baking sheet.
Bake in a very slow oven (250° F) 1 hour and 20 minutes until shells are dried and the tops are cream colored.
Remove from paper as soon as baked.
Cool completely before serving.
Fill with fruit or ice cream for serving.
