Ingredients
3 eggs, separated
l 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 cup dried currants
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 8-inch unbaked pie shell
Directions
Combine egg yolks, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and but- ter and beat until well blended.
Stir in vinegar, currants and walnuts.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold into fruit mixture.
Pour into pie shell.' Bake in a very hot oven (450° F) 10 minutes, reduce temperature to 325° F and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
