2 egg whites
 
Dash salt
 
1/4 c sugar
 
1/4 c slivered almonds

Directions

Beat egg whites with salt until foamy.
Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is stiff.
Heap meringue on top crust of a hot baked pie.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 425° F 5 to 10 minutes or until brown.
Try this one with cherry pie.
