Meringue Chocolate Chip Bars Recipe

No one can eat just one is my claim for this recipe of meringue chocolate chip bars. It is an ideal snack. Do try out this meringue chocolate chip bars recipe. I am eager to know if you like it.

Ingredients

 
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
 
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
 
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
 
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
 
3 egg whites
 
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

Combine flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar in a small bowl.
Stir in butter, blending well.
Press mixture evenly into an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until foamy.
Gradually add 1 cup brown sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
Carefully spread meringue over chocolate chips and pecans.
Bake at 375° for 18-20 minutes.
Cool, and cut into squares.
