Ingredients

 Sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lime juice6 Tablespoon
 Mint2 Tablespoon, minced
 2 teaspoons grated lime peel
 1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger or 2 tablespoons grated fresh gingerroot
 8 cups melon balls or cubes
 Sour cream1 Cup (16 tbs) (MINTED LIME DIP:)
 Sugar2 Tablespoon (MINTED LIME DIP:)
 Lime juice1 Tablespoon (MINTED LIME DIP:)
 2 teaspoons grated lime peel

Directions

In a bowl, combine the sugar, water, lime juice, mint, lime peel and ginger.
Add melon balls.
Cover and refrigerate for 1-6 hours.
Thread melon onto wooden skewers or toothpicks.
In a bowl, combine dip ingredients.
Serve with melon.
