Mediterranean Fondue Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb shelled shrimp | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
| Onions | 2 | |
| Emmenthal or gruyere cheese | 8 Ounce | |
| Chicken stock | 2 Pint | |
| 1/4 cup chopped dill | ||
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Pinch | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Sprinkle the shrimp with lemon juice and leave for 10 minutes.
Peel and chop the onions.
Grate the cheese.
Pour the stock into a metal fondue pan and heat on the stove.
Add the grated cheese and stir over a low heat until melted, but do not allow the mixture to boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the onions, dill, cayenne pepper, pepper and sugar.
Bring the fondue pan to the table and place on the spirit burner.
Drain the shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.
Spear on the fondue forks, dip in the fondue for 1 minute, then eat.
Serve with slices of crusty hot French bread.
