How to make meatloaf
This is by far the best meatloaf recipe I think.First preheat the oven for 350*F! In a medium skillet, on medium heat, add 2-3 tablespoons good olive oil. Once hot, add the onions and a little salt and saute until opaque, about 2 minutes. Once those are cooked, add the garlic and saute for another 1 minute. Once those are cooked, add the basil, thyme, oregano, and garlic powder and cook for another 2 minutes. While those are cooking in a large bowl add the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Once the onions and garlic have cooled down, put in the bowl with all the other ingredients. Mix together… with hands!… until everything is well mixed. To make the topping, in a smaller bowl, add the ketchup, light brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, and dehydrated onions and mix together. Now, in a baking dish, put the meatloaf mixture in and shape into oval. With fingers, around sides make a border so all the yummy topping doesn’t spill over. After washing hands, put topping in the “hole” on the meatloaf. Bake for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, but I find mine is always done right around 1 hour 15 minutes. Hope you like it!Leave a Comment
