Meatball-Vegetable Skillet Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. grated onion
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. shortening
2 c. thinly sliced potatoes
10 1/2 -oz. pkg. frozen peas
4 carrots, cut in quarters
4 to 8 small white onions
1 c. water
Directions
Soak bread crumbs in milk; add ground beef, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, nutmeg and grated onion.
Mix thoroughly; divide meat mixture into 12 portions and shape into balls.
Roll meatballs in flour.
Melt shortening in frying pan;add meatballs and brown on all sides.
Add vegetables and water; sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Serve immediately.
