Ingredients

 
2/3 cup (160 mL) onion, chopped fine
 
3/4 cup (200 mL) celery leaves, minced
 
1/3 cup (80 mL) cider vinegar
 
1/2 cup (125 mL) vegetable oil
 
1 cup (250 mL) grape juice
 
1 tbsp (15 mL) hot sauce
 
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
 
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) powdered garlic

Directions

Combine all the ingredients together and mix well.
Pour over the meat to be marinated, covering it.
Refrigerate 12 to 24 hours.
To roast the meat, remove it from the marinade.
Roast following your recipe.
Baste the roast 2 to 3 times with the marinating sauce during the cooking.
Helpful hint: Add honey to lemon or orange juice to make a drink or to glaze ham or chicken.
