Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb. veal or beef ground. | ||
| Ground pork | 1 Pound | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| 2 heaping tbsp. chopped celery | ||
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 1 cup bread or cracker crumbs | ||
| Tomato soup | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Cold water | 1/2 Can (10oz) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Bacon, strips | ||
Directions
Combine all ingredients except 1/2 can soup and bacon, form into loaf in pan with bacon strips on top.
Add 1/2 can water to remaining soup and pour into pan.
Bake in moderate oven (325 F.) about 11/2 hours.
Meat loaf can be made with beef alone, in which case it need not be baked quiteso long.
