Ingredients

2 Cups (14 oz) Ground Beef

2 Tbsp Minced Garlic

½ tsp Salt

1 tsp Cooking Wine

1 tsp Soy Sauce

¼ tsp Black Pepper

¼ Cup Flour

½ Cup Korean Bread Crumbs

1 Egg

Directions

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of ground beef, 2 tbsp of minced garlic, ½ tsp of salt, 1 tsp of cooking wine, ½ tsp of soy sauce, and ¼ tsp of black pepper.
Mix well and set it aside for 10 minutes.
Take a spoon of beef, and make a small ball.
On a plate, prepare ¼ cup of flour.
Cover the meat balls with the flour.
Prepare 1/2 cup of bread crumbs and 1 egg. (I recommend you to use Korean or Japanese bread crumbs for this recipe, since American bread crumbs are different.)
Cover the meat balls with the mixed egg.
Then cover them with bread crumbs. Firmly cover them several times so they can be more crispy.
Deep fry the meat balls until they become golden brown.
Since it’s meat, cut a meat ball in half and check to see if it is cooked.

For me, was cooked enough.
This recipe will be salty enough to eat without any other sauce, but if you want, you can dip this in ketchup or honey mustard sauce. We usually eat them just plain. Enjoy

Editors Review

Watch this video to learn Aeri’s mother’s recipe of Korean meatballs. They are very unlike the Italian or European ones we know of! These meatballs have a crispy outer coating cause they are double fried. They are almost like batter fried chicken! Serve these delicious crispy and crunchy coated Korean meatballs with steamed rice or how about a musubi? Nestle a meatball into crisp lettuce leaves or serve it with kim chee and dipping sauce alongside. However you serve them, these make wonderful party food.
