Meat Loaf Supreme Recipe
Meatloaf supreme is a herbed and flavorful meatloaf recipe prepared with beef. Combined with mushroom soup for flavor, the meatloaf supreme is served with a dill and mustard sauce. Baked in the oven, it is cooked to doneness.
Ingredients
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon dill weed, crushed
2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
Directions
1. In large bowl, thoroughly mix 1/2 cup of the soup, beef, onion, crumbs and egg. In 12- by 8-inch baking dish, firmly shape mixture into 8- by 4-inch loaf. Bake at 350°F. 1 hour. Remove meat loaf from oven; pour off fat.
2. Unroll and separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Place triangles crosswise over top and down sides of meat loaf, overlapping triangles.
Bake 15 minutes or until browned.
3. Meanwhile, prepare sauce: In 1-quart saucepan, stir together remaining soup, milk, honey, dill weed and mustard. Over medium heat, heat to boiling, stirring constantly
