Meat Cholent Recipe
Ingredients
| Lima beans | 2 Cup (16 tbs), dried | |
| Brisket | 3 Pound | |
| Onions | 3 | |
| Fat | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Kosher salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pearl barley - 1 cup | ||
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Take a bowl and put beans in it. Add water and cover. Soak overnight.
2) Preheat oven to 350° F.
MAKING
3) Take a heavy saucepan or Dutch oven and heat fat in it. Add onions and meat. Cook until brown.
4) Sprinkle with pepper, ginger and salt.
5) Add drained beans and barley.
6) Sprinkle paprika and flour.
7) Add enough boiling water to cover the mixture till one inch above. Cover tightly.
8) Bake in the oven for about 4-5 hours.

9) Slice and serve meat with beans and barley.
