Meat Balls In Almond Cheese Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 2/3 cups Korn Flakes or 2/3 cup Corn Flake Crumbs | ||
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Ground pork | 1/2 pound | |
| 1 egg, slightly beaten | ||
| Chili powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Vegetable oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 2 Tablespoon, finley chopped | |
| Garlic | 1/2 Teaspoon, finely chopped | |
| Almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 2 11-ounce cans condensed cheese soup | ||
| Milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
1. If using Corn Flakes, crush into fine crumbs. Combine Corn Flake Crumbs, meats, eggs, chili powder, salt and pepper. Shape into 24 1-inch balls.
2. Heat oil in large fry pan. Add meat balls, and brown on all sides. Remove from fry pan. Brown onions, garlic and almonds in remaining oil. Stir in soup; gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
3. When served, garnish with additional toasted slivered almonds.
