Maypo Cherry Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| MAYPO 30-Second Oatmeal - 1 1/2 cups | ||
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Butter/Margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Pie filling | 1 Can (10oz) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Grease a 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan with butter.
3. Using a sieve sift together flour, soda and salt.
MAKING
4. In a large mixing bowl, mix together MAYPO, brown sugar and melted butter with flour mixture; stir to mix well.
5. Into the greased pan, press 1/2 of the mixture and top with cherry pie filling.
6. Cover filling with remaining MAYPO mixture and bake in oven for 30 - 35 minutes until it passed skewer tests.
7. Let the pie cool in pan.
SERVING
8. Using a knife cut into squares and serve MAYPO Cherry Squares with ice-cream, if desired.
