Ingredients

 1 cup olive oil or salad oil
 Pepper powder1/2 Teaspoon
 1 lemon or 2 tablespoon white vinegar
 Chilli powder1/2 Teaspoon
 Mustard powder1 Teaspoon
 Sugar1/2 Teaspoon
 1 yolk of egg

Directions

Put all the ingredients (except the oil and vinegar) in a bowl and beat them with a fork or egg beater, adding a few drops of oil at a time.
After you have poured in a quarter cup of oil, put in a teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar.
Keep beating the mixture, adding slightly larger quantities of oil.
Then add some more lemon juice or vinegar.
After all the oil has been poured into the mixture, add the remaining lemon juice or vinegar.
Mayonnaise sauce will keep for a week or ten days; in a refrigerator it will keep fresh for over a month.
