Ingredients

 
All-purpose flour-4 cups
 
Ghee- as necessary
 
White cumin seeds-2 teaspoons
 
Salt-2 teaspoons
 
Water- as necessary

Directions

GETTING READY
1)In a medium wok, heat ghee for frying.

MAKING
2)In a bowl, add flour and about ¾ cup ghee and mix well.
3)Add cumin and salt and water as necessary to make stiff dough.
4)Divide it into 24 portions and roll each into flat round disc.
5)Drop each disc into ghee, about 4 at a time and fry until light golden. Drain.

SERVING
6)Serve mathri with pickle or plain as an afternoon snack.
