Directions
1)Wash rice and in a bowl, soak it in warm water for about 20 minutes.
MAKING
2)In a deep saucepan, heat ghee and fry onions until golden.
3)Add the next 5 ingredients and stir. Add rice and mix.
4)Add peas and mix well for about a minute.
5)Add water and remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
6)Decrease heat and let it cook until rice is done and dry.
SERVING
7)Serve matar pulao hot sprinkled with ghee or butter and a raita.
