Matar mushroom sizzler by Chef Sonali Recipe
A simple Indian Mushroom and Peas vegetarian recipe

Ingredients
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 Inch | |
| Red chilli powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Turmeric powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| 1/2 cup Cashewnut paste | ||
| 2 large sized Onions | ||
| Ginger paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Tomato puree | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Coriander powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Green peas | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mushrooms | 200 Gram | |
| Garam masala powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Green cardamoms | 4 | |
Directions
Clean, wash and cut mushrooms in quarters. Peel onions and chop them finely. Heat oil in a kadai. Add green cardamom, cinnamon stick and chopped onions and sauté until light golden brown. Add ginger paste, garlic paste and cook for half a minute. Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt and cook till oil leaves the masala. Add cashewnut paste dissolved in one cup of water, stir well. Add a cup of water, bring it to a boil and then add green peas and mushrooms. Adjust seasoning. Cook on low heat for five minutes. Serve hot.

Can i warm up my sizzler plate in the oven, i live in North America, i do love to eat sizzlers got the plate from India during my last visit but am scared if the sizzler will turn on my smoke alarms.

Sanjeev Kapoor is sort of the Julia Child of Indian cooking. His recipes are usually excellent and even his Khazana Brand is not bad in a pinch, but I prefer Parampara Brand as they are fresh pastes no msg or preservatives and excellent when you haven't the time to make proper masalas.
