Indian Masoor Dal Fry Recipe Video
Very simple and easy to make and very very healthy dish. A perfect comfort food tastes heavenly with plane boiled rice. Kids just love its nice thick and creamy texture!
Ingredients
| Masoor dal | 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
| Oil | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1 Large, sliced | |
| Diced tomato | 1 | |
| Mustard seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chopped garlic | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Curry leaves | 8 | |
| Hing | 1 Pinch | |
| Green chilies | 2 , slit | |
| Red chilli powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Goda | 1 Teaspoon (Garam Masala) | |
| Juice of lemon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Kasoori methi | 1 Teaspoon |
Directions
Wash and soak dal in water for 2 hours. Add soaked dal in a pressure cooker, add sliced onion, tomatotes and 3 cups of water and pressure cook until 4 whistles.
Heat oil in a kadhai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, garlic and saute till garlic gets nice golden color.
Add green chillies and boiled dal, mix well.
Add red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, mix and simmer for 10 mts.
Add kasoori methi, lemon juice and cook for 2 mts.
Garnish with chopped corriandar leaves.
