Directions

Rinse chick-peas under cold water and put a dozen aside.
Mash remaining chick peas in bowl and add garlic, sesame paste, and lemon juice, stirring until mixture is a smooth puree.
If too thick, add a little water.
Season with salt to taste.
Chill, and serve on flat plate with oil in center, garnished with parsley and whole chick peas.
If Arab bread is unavailable, this and other meza may be eaten with any bread, toast, or sesame-seed crackers.
