Marzipan Cookies Recipe
Marzipan Cookies are for the almond lovers. marzipan cookies are very easy to make and taste heavenly. The amazing part is that you can shape it as desired. Make a fruit basket out of it or even make bugs or spiders or butterflies or anything with these cookies.
Ingredients
Ground almonds-1/2 pound
Powdered sugar-1/2 pound
Egg-3
Lemon peel-to taste, grated
Almonds-1 ounce
Candied fruit-for decoration
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, add and mix the ground almonds with the powdered sugar and eggs to make a firm paste.
2)Add the grated lemon peel to taste and mix well.
3)Take a greased baking sheet and roll out paste and cut small rounds.
4)Decorate with almonds and fruit.
5)Bake it until slightly golden brown.
6)When cold, cover bottoms and sides with chocolate frosting.
SERVING
7)Serve the marzipan cookies as desired.
