Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe
Ingredients
| Crabmeant- 1 pound | ||
| Italian seasoned breadcrumbs- 1 cup | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Mayonnaise | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Margarin, butter or oil | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Remove cartilage from crabmeat
MAKING
2. Mix breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings, except margarine , add crab in the mixture, and mix gently but thoroughly
3. Shape into 6 cakes and fry in skillet on medium-high heat, in just enough fat to prevent sticking
4.Cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side
SERVING
5. Serve with fresh lemon
