Marrow Balls Passover Recipe
Ingredients
| Bone Marrow - 1 large (2 to 3 tablespoons of marrow) | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Onion | 2 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Kosher salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Matzo meal | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Ask the butcher to crack the bone to remove the marrow
MAKING
1) In a bowl, using the electric beater, beat the marrow
2) Then add in the egg and beat till the mixture thickens
3) Add in the onion, parsley and salt
4) Tip in the matzo meal tablespoon by tablespoon till the mixture thickens even more
5) Place the mixture into the refrigerator to chill for an hour
6) Using moistened hands, shape the mixture into small balls
7) In a pot of hot soup cook the balls for 15 minutes
SERVING
8) Serve the balls warm with the soup
