 1 to 1 1/2 pounds filet mignon or round steak
 Marinade
 Sherry4 Tablespoon
 Soy sauce4 Tablespoon
 1 1/2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
 Oil4 Tablespoon
 Salt To Taste
 Pinch of sugar
 Pepper white1 Pinch

Directions

Cut filet mignon into thin slices.
Prepare marinade by stirring sherry, soy sauce, cornstarch, a little salt,and a pinch each of sugar and white pepper thoroughly until well-blended.
Pour marinade over meat slices; marinate for 1 hour.
Heat oil in heavy skillet until very hot.
Add meat, including marinade;cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve steak immediately.
