Marinated Pork Steaks Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 (3/4 inch-thick) pork blade steaks | ||
| Pineapple | 1 Can (10oz), undrained | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light corn syrup | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Trim excess fat from steaks, and place steaks in a large shallow container.
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup; set pineapple slices aside.
Combine pineapple syrup, onion, soy sauce, oil, corn syrup, and ginger in a small saucepan, stirring well.
Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring frequently; pour over steaks.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, turning steaks occasionally.
Remove steaks from marinade, reserving marinade.
Grill steaks over low to medium coals 35 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.
Turn and baste occasionally with marinade.
Grill reserved pineapple slices over medium coals 1 minute on each side.
Garnish pork steaks with pineapple slices.
