Marinated Water Chestnut Appetizers Recipe
Ingredients
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bacon strip | 4 | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
Marinate water chestnuts in soy for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile cut each bacon strip into fourths by cutting lengthwise, then crosswise.
Roll each chestnut in sugar, wrap with bacon, and secure with a wooden pick.
Place on a rack in a shallow baking pan or on a broiler pan.
Bake, uncovered, in a 400° oven for about 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve warm. or cover and refrigerate until next day.
To reheat, place on rimmed baking sheets and bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for about 5 minutes or until crisp and hot throughout.
