Marinated Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 kg / 2 lb large firm mushrooms | ||
| 300 ml / 1/2 pint / 1 1/4 cups wine or cider vinegar | ||
| 150 ml / 1/4 pint / 2/3 cup olive oil | ||
| Black peppercorns | 10 To taste | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Sprig of fresh dill (or 1/2 tsp dried dill) | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Wash mushrooms gently.
Place in a large screw-topped jar, or in 2 jars.
Combine and simmer remaining ingredients in a saucepan for about 15 min.
Add this liquid to the jar, cover tightly, and leave for at least 1 day.
Serve on a platter, with toothpicks speared through the stems.
