Marinated Mako Shark Steaks Recipe
Ingredients
4 mako shark steaks (about 4-6 ounces each)
1/4 cup safflower oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1 1/8-inch slice fresh ginger
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
Directions
Place the shark steaks in a large shallow ovenproof casserole.
Combine all of the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the steaks.
Cover the dish and refrigerate for several hours or overnight, turning once.
Drain the steaks and grill or broil, basting frequently, until the shark is opaque and cooked throughout (approximately 6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness).
