Marinated Gingered Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 pounds frozen shrimp, shelled and deveined | ||
| Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ginger root | 3 Ounce, chopped | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons sweet sake | ||
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 to 3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion | ||
Directions
Cook shrimp as directed on package; drain.
Arrange shrimp in single layer in oblong baking dish, 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inches.
Heat soy sauce to boiling; add ginger root.
Reduce heat; simmer uncovered until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.
Stir in vinegar, sugar, sake, salt and monosodium glutamate; pour over shrimp.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Remove shrimp from marinade with slotted spoon; arrange on serving plate.
Garnish with green onion.
