Marinated Bean Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 16-ounce can cut green beans | ||
| 1 16 ounce can cut yellow wax beans | ||
| Vinegar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 teaspoon mixed pickling spices Non-caloric liquid sweetener equal to 1/4 cup sugar | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 2 slices bacon, crisp-cooked and crumbled | ||
Directions
Drain beans, reserving 1/2 CUP liquid.
Heat bean liquid with vinegar, 1/3 cup water, and spices.
Boil 2 to 3 minutes.
Cool and strain.
Stir in sweetener.
Combine beans and celery; add dressing.
Cover and chill 6 hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
Before serving, top with bacon.
