Marinara Sauce With Tomato Recipe
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Small white onions - 2, chopped | ||
| Small carrots - 2, chopped | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Italian plum tomatoes - 2 cans | ||
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Dried hot red pepper - 1/4 teaspoon | ||
Directions
MAKING
1) In a saucepan, heat oil.
2) Saute the onions, carrots, and garlic in hot oil, until onions are soft.
3) Add the black pepper and tomatoes and mix well.
4) Add salt, and cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
5) Strain the sauce using a sieve.
6) In a pan, melt margarine.
7) Add the strained sauce.
8) Cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
SERVING
9) Serve as required.
