Classic Maple Sugar Pie Recipe
Ingredients
7 1/2 c. maple syrup
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. evaporated milk
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 recipe 2-crust pie pastry
Directions
Boil syrup in saucepan until reduced to about 1 cup; add butter.
Combine milk, flour, salt and egg;add to syrup.
Cool.
Line pie pan with half the rolled out pastry.
Pour filling into pie pan; cover with top crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until crust is browned.
