Ingredients

 1 cup robin hood presifted all purpose flour
 Brown sugar2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Maple syrup1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs2 , beaten
 Butter1/4 Cup (16 tbs), softened
 Salt14 Teaspoon
 Brown sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Pecan halves2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vanilla1/2 Teaspoon
 2 tablespoons robin hood presifted all purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350° F. (moderate).
Rub flour, sugar and butter together.
Press mixture firmly into 7" x 11" pan.
Bake at 350° F. for 5 minutes.
Combine sugar and syrup.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Pour over beaten eggs, stirring well.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread over partially baked dough.
Bake at 450° F. for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° F. and bake for 20 minutes.
Cool and cut in squares.
