Maple Pecan Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup robin hood presifted all purpose flour | ||
| Brown sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Maple syrup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
| Salt | 14 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pecan halves | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons robin hood presifted all purpose flour | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F. (moderate).
Rub flour, sugar and butter together.
Press mixture firmly into 7" x 11" pan.
Bake at 350° F. for 5 minutes.
Combine sugar and syrup.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Pour over beaten eggs, stirring well.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread over partially baked dough.
Bake at 450° F. for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° F. and bake for 20 minutes.
Cool and cut in squares.
