Maple Nut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Yellow cake mix package | 1 | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons Parkay margarine or butter softened | ||

| Nuts | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Eggs | 2 (FILLING) | |
| 2/3 cup reserved cake mix | ||
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (FILLING) | |
| 1/2 cup com syrup | ||
| 3 tablespoons Parkay margarine or butter softened | ||
| Maple extract | 1/2 Teaspoon (FILLING) | |
| Nuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (FILLING) | |
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F.
Grease 13x9-inch pan.
In large bowl, combine cake mix, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons margarine and egg at low speed until crumbly; stir in 1/4 cup nuts.
Press in bottom of prepared pan.
Bake at 350°F. for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
In small bowl, beat 2 eggs until foamy.
Add 2/3 cup reserved cake mix, 1/4 cup brown sugar, corn syrup, 3 tablespoons margarine and maple extract.
Beat 1 minute at low speed until well mixed.
Pour over crust; sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts.
Return to oven and bake 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown (center will be soft).
Cool completely; cut into bars.
