Maple Walnut Pears Recipe

 1 tablespoon light butter
 Vegetable oil1/4 Teaspoon
 4 firm pears, peeled, cored and cut in half lengthwise
 Maple syrup3 Tablespoon
 Brown sugar2 Tablespoon
 Walnuts1 Tablespoon, finely chopped
 1 cup vanilla fat-free ice cream

Directions

1. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over low heat; add oil. Increase heat to medium-high. Place pear halves, cut sides down, in pan. Cook 3 minutes or until golden.
2. Reduce heat to medium; add maple syrup and brown sugar. Cook 6 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat; stir in nuts.
