Maple Walnut Banana Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| All-purpose flour - 2 cups, unsifted | ||
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Bananas | 2 Large | |
| Dairy sour cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Maple flavored butter cream | ||
| Walnuts | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven at 350 degrees.
2) Take the baking pan and grease it.
MAKING
3) Take the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix them and keep aside.
4) Take a bowl and mix the butter or margarine and sugar. Beat them to make the mixture fluffy.
5) Add eggs (one at a time) and beat them again.
6) Take another bowl and mix the banana and sour cream together. Add the flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to the butter mixture.
7) Pour the batter into the pan and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
8) After 35 minutes, take out the baking pan and allow the dish to cool.
SERVING
9) Transfer the cake to the serving plate and apply maple butter cream at the top of the cake.
10) Sprinkle walnuts and cut the cake into 24 squares.
