Ingredients

 
1 cup (240 ml) cornmeal
 
1 1/4 cups (295 ml) whole wheat flour
 
3 tsp (15 ml) baking powder
 
1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
 
1 egg, well beaten
 
1/2 cup (120 ml) maple syrup
 
3/4 cup (180 ml) skim milk
 
3 tbs (45 ml) oil

Directions

Mix dry ingredients together.
Add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended.
Pour into well-greased 9x9-inch pan.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F (205°C).
