Maple Sweet Potatoes Recipe
Maple Sweet Potatoes was my family cook's signature dish, now that he's gone I have taken up the task of preparing it for the family. The key ingredient here is Vegetable. Make this Maple Sweet Potatoes popular amongst your friends and let them know how good it tastes.
Ingredients
6 sweet potatoes (2 pounds)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspon salt
Directions
Prick sweet potatoes.
Cook at HIGH for 15 minutes or till done, turning over and rearranging once.
Peel and slice potatoes.
In 4-cup glass measure, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, and salt.
Cook at HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Place potatoes in 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish.
Pour syrup mixture over potato slices to coat.
Cook, covered, at HIGH for 3 to 4 minutes or till heated through.
Spoon syrup over potatoes before serving.
