Ingredients

 Bran1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Buttermilk3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 tablespoons melted butter, or oil
 Egg1 , beaten
 Maple syrup1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Whole wheat pastry flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon

Directions

Preheat oven to 400° F.and grease 1 dozen muffin tins.
In a large bowl, stir bran and milk together.
Add butter or oil, egg, and syrup and mix well.
Mix flour, soda, and salt together and add to the mixture.
Stir well.
Spoon into prepared tins and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
