Manna Candy Recipe
The taste of this very Manna Candy recipe has played on my mind so much that I hardly ever go for any other Manna Candy recipe. This Manna Candy is so tasty that I cannot resist serving it as a Snack often. It is a staple food of the Asian people which has now gained popularity the world over. There is no bigger sin than reading this recipe of Manna Candy and not trying it out.
Ingredients
3/4 cup honey
1 1/4 cups sugar
2/3 cup egg whites
3 tablespoon rose flower water
4 teaspoons cardamom powder
3/4 cup slivered almonds
1 cup pistachio nuts, unsalted (optional)
Directions
Put honey, sugar, egg whites and rose water in a heavy saucepan.
Mix and stir well.
Cook about fifteen to twenty minutes, over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add cardamom powder mix well.
Stir in nuts.
Pour in a greased pan to cool.
Cut desired size, dip into flour.
Arrange them in a box, cover with more flour, and freeze.
Keeps well.
