Ingredients

 Salt pork1/8 Pound, diced
 Green pepper1 To taste, minced
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 Celery1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Onions1/3 Cup (16 tbs), minced
 1 qt. clams in liquor
 Potatoes3 Large, diced
 Boiling water3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt2 Teaspoon
 Stewed tomatoes3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Thyme1/3 Teaspoon
 Cayenne1/8 Teaspoon
 Chowder crackers

Directions

Fry pork in skillet until crisp, remove.pork, and saute pepper, garlic, celery,and onions in remaining fat for 3-4 minutes.
Add clams, potatoes, boiling water, salt and cover tightly and simmer 1/2 hour.
Add tomatoes, thyme, and cayenne and simmer 1/2 hour longer.
Serve over split chowder crackers in hot deep bowl.
