Slow-Cooked Manhattan Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/4 pound salt pork or bacon, diced
 
2 carrots, chopped
 
2 celery stalks, chopped onion, chopped 28-ounce can tomatoes
 
2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
 
1/4 cup parsley, chopped 7-ounce cans clams, chopped
 
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
 
1/2 teaspoon pepper bay leaf
 
1/2 teaspoons thyme
 
Dash Tabasco

Directions

Stir ingredients together in crock cooker and cover.
Cook at Low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
Adjust seasoning for salt, pepper, or Tabasco at serving time
