Recipe Story

The Mango Cold cake recipe is one of those dessert recipes that I picked up immediately after marriage from a friend. Mangoes are mine and my husbands favorite fruit so it is no wonder that we just fell in love with this delicious dessert

Ingredients

 Castor Sugar - 5 Tbsp
 Milk powder5 Tablespoon (FOR BASE:)
 Butter4 Tablespoon (FOR BASE:)
 Warm water4 Tablespoon (FOR BASE:)
 Marie biscuits - 200gms
 Cream1 Cup (16 tbs) (FOR TOPPING)
 Mango1 Cup (16 tbs) (FOR TOPPING)
 Mango Pulp - 1 cup
 Castor Sugar - 3/4 Cup
 Mango Essence - 1 tsp (Optional)
 Mango Juice - 1/2 cup + 6 tsp
 Gelatin2 Teaspoon (FOR TOPPING)
 Lemon juice1 Tablespoon (FOR TOPPING)

Directions

1. Soak 2 tsp Gelatin in 6 tsp mango juice and keep aside
2. Make small pieces of Marie biscuits
3. Beat sugar and butter together and then add the milk powder and mix well.
4. Combine the milk mixture and biscuits then add warm water.
5. Set in prepared tin and put in the refrigerator to set
6. Beat cream along with rest of the Castor sugar till fluffy
7. Add Mango Juice, Lemon Juice, Mango Pulp and essence(optional) and mix well. Then add prepared Gelatin.
8. Pour it over the refrigerated base and chill in the freezer till set.
9. Arrange chopped mango over the Mango Cold Cake decoratively and pipe in some cream to make it look and taste better.:-)
