 2 lbs chuck or blade steak 1 kg
 Instant meat tenderizer, dry type
 Fat2 Tablespoon
 Onion soup mix envelope1
 Bay Leaf1
 1 green pepper, seeded and sliced
 Canned tomatoes1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup dry sherry, red wine or more tomatoes 125 mL

Directions

Trim fat from the steak and prick meat on both sides with a fork.
Dampen meat with water and sprinkle generously with tenderizer.
Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.
Sprinkle with soup mix.
Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.
Cover and bake at 350F (180C) for 1 hour or until tender.
