Man Style Spanish Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 lbs chuck or blade steak 1 kg | ||
| Instant meat tenderizer, dry type | ||
| Fat | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion soup mix envelope | 1 | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| 1 green pepper, seeded and sliced | ||
| Canned tomatoes | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup dry sherry, red wine or more tomatoes 125 mL | ||
Directions
Trim fat from the steak and prick meat on both sides with a fork.
Dampen meat with water and sprinkle generously with tenderizer.
Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.
Sprinkle with soup mix.
Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.
Cover and bake at 350F (180C) for 1 hour or until tender.
