Mama S Butter Cookies Recipe
Awesome!!!! this recipe of mama s butter cookies is just out of this world. It is an ideal dessert. This mama s butter cookies is too good to be missed.
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
Semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions
1. Beat butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed.
2. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla until well blended; turn mixer speed to low; blend in flour and salt.
3. Pack dough into a cookie press; press out onto ungreased cookie sheets, or shape into small balls; place on cookie sheets and pat down center with thumb. Place a chocolate piece, point down, in center of each cookie.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 15 minutes, or just until lightly browned. Carefully remove from cookie sheets with spatula to large platter or foil.
