Make Ahead Upside Down Cake Recipe

| Cake flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/3 cup soft shortening | ||
| Milk | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |

Directions
Melt butter in 9- or 10-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over butter.
Arrange peach slices and cherries in attractive pattern on top of sugar; sprinkle with nuts.

Add egg and beat 2 additional minutes.
